Roc Nation Executives Land at Entebbe as Uganda Tourism Board Eyes U.S. Market

A two man delegation from Roc Nation, the global entertainment agency founded by American apper Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, have arrived in Uganda for a 3-day familiarisation trip hosted by the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB).

Upon aarival at Entebbe International Airport on Thursday 2nd July, they were welcomed by the CEO Juliana Kaggwa and had an immediate feel of Ugandan hospitality with a troop of traditional dancers adding to the excitment.

While UTB has not announced any official commercial partnership or signed deals, the decision to host the sport and entertainment powerhouse signals a clear intention to market the country. This also comes at a time when the country is preparing to host the biggest football event in Africa.

Uganda is set to co host the Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON) alongside neigbours Kenya and Tanzania, the tournament which will take place from June 19 to July 17, 2027 is set to offer a massive boast to the country’s tourism. Away from the future expectations, this visit further projects the country’s health safety amidst claims of an Ebola outbreak from international media.

The delegation will travel through Uganda’s main destinations to have a feel of the country’s luxury hospitality and unique safari experiences.
